FASTING
2026
This season isn’t about business as usual. It’s about breaking spiritual, emotional, and generational cycles through a focused life of fasting, prayer, and obedience. As M633 leans into this consecrated season, we believe we will truly see and experience the strong hand of God’s glory.

Simply put: this year is for seeking God first. From the Spirit’s vantage point, we are aligning our lives with heaven’s order and declaring, “This is the Kingdom First year," a set-apart time to prioritize His rule and His righteousness above all else. We are moving from passive presence to intentional involvement in His Kingdom purpose, allowing God to reset our appetites, reorder our priorities, and break every cycle that keeps us from wholehearted devotion.

WHAT IS CONSECRATION AND FASTING?
Consecration is the act of setting yourself apart wholly for God’s purposes. It involves intentionally removing anything that distracts, defiles, or competes with your devotion to Him. In Scripture, God repeatedly calls His people to be set apart, reminding them, “Be holy, for I am holy” (Leviticus 20:26).
Consecration is not just an outward act but an inward posture aligning your heart, mind, and lifestyle with God’s will. Joshua instructed Israel to consecrate themselves because God was about to do wonders among them (Joshua 3:5), showing that consecration prepares us to encounter God more deeply and walk in His power.

Fasting is the spiritual discipline of voluntarily abstaining from food or other comforts to seek God with greater focus and humility for a set period of time. It is a way of quieting the flesh so the spirit can become more attentive to God’s voice. Jesus taught that some breakthroughs only come through prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21), revealing fasting as a tool for spiritual power and clarity. Scripture also shows fasting as an act of humility before God, as seen when David “humbled himself with fasting” (Psalm 35:13). At its core, fasting is not about deprivation but about devotion, creating space for God to break cycles, reveal His will, and strengthen us for what He has called us to do.
DISCLAIMER
Feel free to adjust this plan in a way that fits your lifestyle. If at any point you fall short, don’t carry guilt, pick back up and trust God with the process. Allowing guilt or self‑pity to settle in during consecration will only hinder your growth. Remember, God is concerned with the posture of your heart, not the number of meals you skip.

Please take time to pray, seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and consult your physician before beginning the consecration.

FUNDAMENTALS OF PRAYER
CREATE A LIFESTYLE OF PRAYER
Prayer is most effective when it isn’t something we do every now and then, but when it’s a lifestyle we cultivate. To understand how to have a lifestyle of prayer, we can look at the example Jesus gave during His life on earth.
“And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed”- Mark 1:35 KJV

HAVE A CERTAIN TIME
Jesus got up early in the morning to spend time with His Heavenly Father. Make a daily appointment with God, whether it’s first thing in the morning, at lunch, or in the evening, and faithfully keep it.
HAVE A CERTAIN PLACE
Jesus had a specific place He went to pray. Having a designated place to pray helps us remove distractions and frees us to worship and pray out loud.
HAVE A CERTAIN PLAN
When Jesus taught His disciples how to pray, He gave them a prayer outline. As we pray every day, our plans for our prayer time can vary, but it helps when we have a plan for connecting regularly with God.
